NATIONAL Music Competitions for Young Artists Foundation (NAMCYA) Secretary-General Renato Lucas, in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and the Department of Education, unveiled the semi-finalists for this year’s competitions in Choir, Rondalla, Guitar, Piano, Trombone, Trumpet, and Voice.
The Regional Center (semi-finals) Level will be held on September 20 for the Mindanao regional cluster, September 27 for the Visayas regional cluster, October 4 for North Luzon regional cluster, and October 11, 12 and 18 for Metro Manila, Central and South Luzon regional clusters.
In the Choir, Category B (Mixed Voices), semi-finalists are Bacolod City National High School Youth Choir, BPHSCA Himig Kuliglig, Canossa Glee Club, La Filipina National High School Voxunito Chorale, Ligao National High School Voice Chorale, Manila Science High School Chorale, Muntinlupa Science High School Chorale, Musica Paulinos, STEFTI Youth Choir, Tinig Ensemble Choir, University of the Philippines Rural High School Glee Club; while in Choir, Category B (Equal Voices), Boscorale, Camaya-an National High School Choir, Cebu Normal University Youth Choir, The Davao Girls Choir, Ilocos Norte National High School SPA Youth Choir, League of Young Voices Tagum City National Comprehensive High School Choir, St. Paul College Pasig High School Chorale, St. Scholastica’s Academy and Marikina High School Glee Club.
In Rondalla, Category A, semi-finalists are Aniweng na Cuerdas Rondalla (Region I), BCES Rondalla (CARAGA), Colawin Elementary School Rondalla (Region VII), Enverga University Rondalla (Region IV-A), ETCS II Children’s Rondalla Group A (Region VI), ETCS II Children’s Rondalla Group B (Region VI), The Golden Plectrum (Caraga), LCES Rondalla (Region XII), Lucban District Children’s Rondalla (Region IV-A), Lucena West I Rondalla Ensemble (Region IV-A), Lutucan Central Children’s Rondalla (Region IV-A), Magugpo Pilot Central Elementary School Rondalla, (Region XI), Mauban South District Children’s Rondalla (Region IV-A), Naga Central School I (Region V), Pardo Elementary School Dancing Rondalla (Region VII), San Isidro Community Rondalla (Region II), Sariaya Community Rondalla (Region IV-A), Tayabas West Central School I Rondalla (Region IV-A), Timoteo Paez Elementary School Rondalla (NCR) and Urdaneta I Central School Rondalla Ensemble (Region I).
In the Guitar, Category C, semi-finalists are Aaron Rafael Aguila III (NCR), Aemilio Cecilio Enginco (Region IV-A), Roman Gerard Enguero (Region IV-A), Carlo Antonio Juan (NCR), Daniel August Lopez (NCR) and Roneil Santos (Region III).
In the Piano, Category B, semifinalists are Danica Mae Antazo (Region IV-A), Sharon Jasminez (NCR), Klyde Francis Ledamo (VIII), James Carl Osorio (Region III), Juan Paolo Panagsagan (NCR), Stephen Rodriguez (IV-A), Denise Faith See (NCR), and Nathan John Torento (XII). In the Trombone, Category C, semifinalists are Vanessa Ellaiza Jean Celestial (NCR), Elmer Ruel Guballa (Region III), and Conrad Cecil Nicolas Jr. (Region III), while in the Trumpet, Category C, semifinalists are Marc Richard Nicolas (Region III), and Rafael John Rubio (Region III).
In Voice, Category C Female, semifinalists are Stephanie Anne Aguilar (NCR), Sarah Faye Bacal (NCR), Jho-Merita Chua-so (NCR), Sherine Ann Koa (NCR), Nikka Mae Lopez (Region IV-A), Ma. Krissan Manikan (NCR), Mheco Joy Manlangit (Region VI), Marifel Motilla (Region IV-A),
Liza Marie Nery (Region III), Amanda Nicole Pugeda (NCR), Ma. Pilar Charlene Ramos (NCR), Jade Rubis Riccio (NCR), Maria Arielle Tuason (NCR), and Elainne Marie Vibal (Region V), while in the Voice, Category C Male, semifinalists are Jefty Estrera (NCR), Leo Angelo Lanuza (NCR), Elijah John Marquez (Region III), and Ivan Niccolo Nery (NCR).
