HENRI LAMY’S Motions and Emotions is on view at Museo Pambata’s Children in the Global Village room until today.
This exhibit is borne out of Lamy’s recent travels in Brazil, Manila and Puerto Galera in the Philippines. The artist’s willingness to share his art making methods to children and his intention to help Museo Pambata and Stairway Foundation inspired this special collection of everyday scenes in Puerto Galera and the streets of Manila and Brazil.
Motions and Emotions is a fundraising project for two nonprofit organizations: Museo Pambata Foundation and Stairway Foundation.
Museo Pambata Foundation runs the the country’s first children’s museum which also holds art programs for underserved children, while Stairway Foundation in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro is a care home which offers programs that empower and equip life skills to street children. Part of the proceeds from the sale of Henri’s art pieces will go to Museo Pambata and Stairway Foundation to ensure the continuity of each organization’s programs for underprivileged children.
