ESTABLISHED jeweler Mia Florencio advises those who would like to venture into the business to have passion for jewelry, fashion and design. If possible too, just as she and her siblings did, take an extra step in gaining the proper education for the craft and trade.
“Be willing to take risks. Your willingness to try new things is one of the key factors in venturing into any business, this business included,” Florencio added.
Another important step is to “earn your credibility and trustworthiness.” Mia shared they always make sure their customers get their money’s worth because they believe that buying jewelry is an investment.
“Patience is also a virtue. Endless patience is needed in this kind of business,” she said from experience.
Finally, one must establish a good brand to promote trust among customers and the industry.
