The University of Santo Tomas (UST) Museum and the University Museum and Collections (UMAC) International Council on Museums (ICOM) will hold the 15th Annual Conference of University Museum and Collections from May 11 to 14 at the University of Santo Tomas.
The global conference, which has for its theme “Rethinking University Museums: Bridging Theory and Practice,” will examine UMAC’s accomplishments in the last 14 years in helping university museums across the world address challenges affecting them and explore on its relevance in today’s society.
Formally established in 1871, the UST Museum is a pioneer member of UMAC and an educational institution at the forefront of cultural heritage conservation in the Philippines.
The UMAC 2015 is organized in cooperation with the Philippine National Commission on Culture and the Arts.
