Turn street urchins
Into glow-worms
Glimmering in hand-me-down

The urchins o-stare the stars
whose art and act of charity
Overflow into the streets
The urchins sing their hurts
To open the stars’ hearts
And hands. The urchins
Swarm around the celebrated Christmas
Packages. Eyes of worms and stars glow.
