On March 25, Net 25 is set to air “Maharlika Filipi-Nice,” as a multi-cultural presentation that aims to strengthen awareness of the country as a major tourist destination for both local and international travelers, in preparation for a post-Covid Scenario.

It will likewise act as a tool to update information regarding Philippine heritage on visual arts, music, dance, food, and fashion. This will serve as a reference guide for students, scholars of Philippine culture, enthusiasts, and foreign visitors.

The event will also jumpstart Philippine fashion activation by focusing on locally made clothes, costumes, jewelry, accessories, and ornamentation. In doing so, it will inspire a renewed interest in Philippine style and design.

Most importantly, the event serves as a fundraising campaign to secure tablets for the online schooling of the Mangyan school children in the Mangyan Mission headed by Fr. Dinter in Mindoro.

“Maharlika Filipi-Nice” is a brainchild project of Creative Director Nathan De Leon and Sherwin Sozon of LyrOpera. It comes at the heels of the successful staging of “Marawing Salamat 2019” at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and “Magnificat the Musical.”

A live-stream event, the TV broadcast will begin at 7 p.m. on Net 25, with a replay on TV Maria on May 3.
