The World Children’s Picture Contest has been held as part of Ie no Hikari Association’s cultural activities since 1993 in order to promote awareness of the importance of nature and agriculture, as well as to encourage friendship and goodwill among children around the world and help them develop well-rounded characters. The competition is open to children age 6 to 15 years old.
For this year’s competition, the contestants may choose from one of the following themes: Agriculture, Farming Area, Nature, Environment, Local People, and Family.
Last year’s contest attracted 26,000 entries from 69 countries and three entries from the Philippines won prizes. Submission period is until September 30.
