Keri Zamora is the type of woman everyone aspires to be. Beautiful, multi-hyphenated, and a mother of four, Keri is an example of a mom who is able to do it all. Besides raising her four children, Keri is also an entrepreneur, a lifestyle blogger, and recently, the head of Caring Keri Program in the City of San Juan.

When asked how she best defines being a mom, Keri says, “For me, being a mom means being selfless. It’s not all about me now; when you say ‘me’ that includes my husband and four children. In everything I do, and in each decision I make, I think of how it will affect them.”
An icon to moms everywhere, Keri is admired for her ability to put her family first and simultaneously pursuing her own passions. In fact, her blog, “Flats & Stilettos” is catered to moms who want to do just the same.
Keri is often described as a supermom not just by her readers but those close to her as well. But when asked how she is able to do it, Keri thoughtfully gives credit to her husband, Francis Zamora.
“Honestly, being a mom is so much easier with a great husband/ partner who is more than willing to share the chores and time to be present for the family. It’s a huge advantage having him around to help me with the kids, to simply listen to my problems, and to be by my side when facing difficult situations. So, it’s not really a secret that I’m able to balance it all and stay sane — I have Francis by my side.”
At present, Keri’s maternal instincts have inspired her to put up the Caring Keri Program, which was built to assist the women and children in their community in San Juan.
“My program is focused on women’s health, the well-being of teenagers, and protection of the rights of women and children. Last October, with the help of our local government, we were able to sign a Memorandum of Agreement with Cardinal Santos Medical Center to provide free and discounted breast care and medical services for our constituents.”
It is worth noting that this program was inspired by Keri’s own personal victory over breast cancer.
“I was diagnosed with breast cancer early last year. I went through active treatment for 7 months. And I really have to thank my family and close friends for being there for me to cheer me on. Having prayer groups with my best friends helped me a lot too. My faith has really deepened and has helped me stay positive all throughout my treatment up to the present.”
And this strength, among other things, is very much admired by her daughter Amanda who says, “What I admire the most about my mom is her strength when it comes to overcoming sickness, her passion to serve, and her concern for others.”
In ending this contemporary mom happily shared her advice for those just beginning their journey.
“I used to be so worried about everything when it comes to my kids. But having gone through cancer and this current pandemic, I’ve learned to ease up a bit. My kids always tell me to chill, and I’m slowly learning that. Life is too short to be filled with worries.”
