The National Commission for Arts and Culture (NCCA), the country’s premiere agency for arts and culture headed by its chairman Felipe de Leon Jr. and OIC-executive director Adelina Suemith, together with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) invites Filipino artists in the Art Creation Journeys program of the Office of Foreign Relations Group of the Department of Cultural Promotion (DCP), Ministry of Culture of Thailand, which will be participated by artists from all over Southeast Asia.
Artists may join one or more legs of the Art Creation Journeys in Ubon Ratchtani from July 1 to 5; Nakon Sawan from July 16 to 19; Chiang Mai from July 29 to August 15 (exhibit from July 29 to August 14 and workshop from August 11 to 15); and Songkhla from August 23 to 27.
The DCP will shoulder food, accommodation and local transportation of selected artists. Participants, however, will shoulder their own roundtrip airfares to Thailand.
Meanwhile, young artists and performing groups are encouraged to participate in the 2015 Tianjin International Children’s Culture and Arts Festival and the 7th Tianjin International Children’s Painting Competition and Exhibition both happening in July next year at Tianjin, China.
The 2015 Tianjin International Children’s Culture and Arts Festival is jointly hosted by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, China International Culture Association and the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government.
With the theme “Peace, Friendship and Future,” the festival will present a series of activities including opening and closing ceremonies, International Children’s City of Joy, unveiling of the World Peace Wall, the International Children’s Painting Competition and Exhibition, and the International Children’s Party.
Children from nearly 100 countries and territories will participate. The International Children’s Painting Competition and Exhibition aims to collect paintings from children from all over the world. The competition is related to the theme to depict scenes of love, daily activities, family life, traditions, environment, among others.
Panels of experts will select the grand award, gold award, silver award, bronze award and honorable award winners.
