Witnessing the Filipino painters’ uniqueness at an exhibition, an Iranian artist commended their love for country as these arts represented their national identity.
“I love all artists, also Filipino artists, because they love their country, to this country. It’s so beautiful, they drew the art and show their appreciation to this nation,” Tandis Taghavi told The Manila Times.
Besides being a top lady calligrapher in Iran, Taghavi is also the Vice President of the Friendship Society of Filipino and Iranian Women, Inc.

“It’s so great. For new generation, you can show your appreciation to this country. It’s so beautiful,” Taghavi added. Seeing the Filipinos’ artistry, Taghavi congratulated The Manila Times for a great exhibit and she was excited to see the colorful paintings crafted.
Moreover, Taghavi’s husband, Honorable Cultural Counsellor Mohamed Jafarimalak of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, was fascinated by the works of Filipino painters, which he praised as “very good.”
