With the Philippines dubbed as the “texting capital of the world,” spouses Brick and Leila Agcopra reasonably decided to start a prepaid load business in 2011.

Powered by its own propriety self-loading technology, the business was designed to empower all mobile phone users by providing discount and business opportunities. Thus, Self-Load Prepaid Ventures or SPV was established. It was registered on November 21, 2011 as a single proprietorship entity.with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

It was not an easy start, but with the expertise of Agcopra as a successful network marketer himself with the assistance of his wife, they were able to steer the company to becoming an industry leader. Its operation went full swing in April 2012, just five months after its business registration.

By the middle of 2014, it was able to launch more than 200 loading outlets and at least 80,000 subscribers all over the archipelago. Today, the company is considered as the leader in the 3-in-1 loading industry.

The success of SPV inspired the Agcopra couple to expand their business to other consumable products ranging from personal care, beauty, wellness, agricultural and technology-related products. To realize it, SPVTOP International Inc., a new corporation was formed and registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission on September 12, 2014 since the DTI registered Self-Load Prepaid Ventures is not authorized to offer products other than prepaid loads.

The real life celebrity couple with company founders Brcik and Leila Agcopra.

Their genius products include G-webphone app – which has the ability to contact another person anywhere in the world even if they’re not online, G-Bio energy which includes G-Power patch that removes electromagnetic flux and reduces wire heating, G-Bio F Line that helps motorcycle riders to save fuel, G-Bioinoculant which helps farming in agriculture, aquaculture, livestock and waste management.

The company’s objective is to boost the income potential of its distributors through a wide array of daily consumable products apart from its already existing and flourishing prepaid load business. With the combined power of internet and mobile phone, SPVTOP International Inc. is determined to bring its dedicated leaders and members to heights they have never reached before.

Celebrities and network marketers

Two of the avid users of the company’s products and services are actors and real-life partners Ricardo Cepeda and Marina Benipayo. But it was Cepeda who first experienced the products leading him to become the brand ambassador.

“I was introduced to Brick saying he wanted to talk to me about joining the company. I found him very sincere, sabi niya, ‘na-experience ko na kasi ang walang pera, so malaking bagay when you’re making your own money.’ So gusto niya, find that opportunity to get other people involved and then sila rin magiging independent, but do this by using Filipino products,” Cepeda, who portrays Lorenzo Bravante in the afternoon show “Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko” on GMA Network, explained.

“So sabi ko, ‘I like your idea, but first let me see the products.’ Tapos yun, nag-start na ako mag-try ng products [nila]. Ang maganda rito, these products work almost immediately. But to make the story short, I became part of the company by doing sales and then as brand ambassador. With my wife Marina, I join them in the junkets to introduce these world-class products in different parts of the country. It’s not only about the business, it’s not only about introducing something to your friends, but it’s the advocacy that comes with it,” he elaborated.

According to him, the real business approach is how can the company reach more people. And one way of marketing the products is gathering dedicated leaders, distributors, members and show the products work to the consuming public.

“Since kami, hindi naman namin naaabot ang lahat ng tao, but through the person who introduced the products to someone, parang nakilala na namin siya. It’s an easier way to reach out to more people,” he said.

“Showbiz is fun but it’s not my bread and butter. It provides us the opportunity to be relaxed. Hindi kailangang tanggap lang nang tanggap ng project left and right, minsan pangit naman yung project. So having your own business allows you to make better choices,” Cepeda ended.
